Homecoming visualizes confronting growing up. The central imagery is the void of water, highlighting the line "the lake where I almost drowned" that reprises throughout the album. Everything she's confronted with is floating around her, deteriorating like memories.

The music video acts as a stream of consciousness as these memories and feelings float up to the surface. As vulnerable as the track is, the video is a raw look inside the person behind it.
